HÅG has spent decades making chairs for people who sit for a living. HÅG Minu takes that same thinking somewhere different.
It's a compact task chair with a different brief: not the centrepiece, but the one that moves. The touchdown point in an open plan. The kitchen table that doubles as a workspace, or the home office where a full task chair simply doesn't fit. The quiet corner of a hospitality suite. It won't replace a dedicated workstation for someone sitting eight hours straight. But for the shorter bursts those spaces actually demand, the comfort and support is there.
Looks like home. Works like HÅG.
Designed by Andreas Engesvik & Jannicke Grung, the thinking behind HÅG Minu was about bridging the gap between home and office. A foot in both worlds, bringing the warmth, colour and liveable feel of residential design together with the quality, durability and ergonomic thinking HÅG is known for. No visible plastic except the castors, which come in five colours matched to the footbase. A fully upholstered seat and back, and a sculptural die-cast aluminium base that Engesvik describes as "a small sculpture that holds everything up." Bold enough to choose, considered enough to live with.
Engesvik was direct about the weight of designing for HÅG. "When designing a chair for HÅG, you are standing on the shoulders of Peter Opsvik, who has been groundbreaking not only in Norway but internationally. There is a sense of reverence in that."
The ergonomic foundation is the HÅG inBalance® mechanism - the same dynamic movement technology used in the wider HÅG range - adapted here for flexible, touchdown use. Height adjustable, with a natural tilt range that moves with the body rather than against it. Low back, no armrests. The kind of chair you sit in without having to think about it.
Configuration starts with seven curated colourways selected by Engesvik, each a considered combination of frame colour, gas lift and castors. Architects and interior designers who need more can specify from the full Flokk fabric portfolio. The aluminium footbase is available in five painted finishes or polished, a detail that reads clearly in a material-conscious interior.
On sustainability: 60% recycled materials, designed for disassembly and repair, EU Ecolabel & GREENGUARD Gold certified. The ten-year guarantee applies across the HÅG range.
