Flokk brand Offecct is set to make waves at the upcoming 3 Days of Design event with the launch of their latest product, Vertigo. This mesmerising coffee table, created by renowned design studio Claesson Koivisto Rune, promises to be a showstopper.
Introducing Vertigo
The award-winning Vertigo table is an interactive piece of furniture with strong sculptural qualities that captivates with its illusion of infinite depth. Originally introduced in 2005 in a single size, Vertigo features a metal frame supporting two glass tabletops: a one-way mirror glass top and a mirror glass bottom. This unique arrangement creates a bottomless visual effect, enhancing any environment with a sense of contemplation and intrigue.
To celebrate 25 years of collaboration between Offecct and Claesson Koivisto Rune, Vertigo is making a grand return in three new sizes and shapes, available in three striking colours. This launch marks a significant milestone in their long-standing partnership, which began in 1999 and has produced over 50 acclaimed projects.
Claesson Koivisto Rune explains, “This table illustrates a long-lived misconception about us and our work. Those who call us minimalists have not really understood that it is not about minimalism; for us, it has always been about adding something.”
Celebrating a Legacy: The Book Launch
In addition to the Vertigo launch, Offecct will also be celebrating the release of a new book documenting the fruitful collaboration with Claesson Koivisto Rune. This book is the sixth installment in a series by Offecct, providing an in-depth look at their creative journey and the design philosophies that have shaped their work. The series, developed by the esteemed Swedish graphic design studio Henrik Nygren Design, serves as a valuable resource for design enthusiasts and professionals alike.
