Flokk expands in North America with acquisition of Spec Furniture

Flokk has acquired Spec Furniture, a Canadian manufacturer of contract furniture. The move strengthens Flokk’s presence in Canada and expands its reach into the growing healthcare segment across North America.

Founded in 1991, Spec Furniture is headquartered in Toronto, where its manufacturing facility is based. The company serves four key segments across the US and Canada: healthcare, education, corporate, and behavioural health.

Spec will continue to operate as an independent brand within the Flokk portfolio. Its management team, production facility, and sales and distribution setup remain unchanged, ensuring continuity for customers and partners.

Following the acquisition, close to half of Flokk’s revenues will be generated in North America. The company now combines a strong presence on both sides of the Atlantic, supporting its role as a global provider of workplace and contract seating solutions.
